Executive Team
Mike Jones, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mike founded Ironwood Asset Management in 2023, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate asset management with leading publicly traded REITs and institutional developers. Throughout his career, he has been committed to driving maximum net operating income (NOI) for investors and fostering strong, strategic partnerships in joint venture projects. Mike’s expertise spans the full investment lifecycle, from acquisition and development through asset optimization and disposition, always with a focus on creating long-term value.​
Mike has joint Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Engineering from UC Berkeley, an MBA from Stanford and a PhD. in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech.​Mike is based in Los Angeles and is a native of Vancouver, BC Canada. In his free time, Mike enjoys golfing and is an avid collector of rare art.
Michael Gambino, Chief Operating Officer
Michael joined Ironwood Asset Management in 2024 with more than 20 years of experience in asset management, operations, acquisitions and ground up development for large institutional operators and developers. He brings extensive experience in portfolio strategy, financial oversight, and project execution. He sets corporate strategy, leads annual budget reviews and investor reporting, oversees capital projects and construction management, public relations, and business development delivering exceptional service while fostering lasting partnerships and driving growth.​
Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies, graduating with multiple honors from UCLA, as well as an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He also earned a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Development from Georgetown University.​He divides his time between our European markets in London and Paris, and his hometown of Los Angeles. Outside of work, Michael enjoys hiking, weight training, and yoga.
